Logic instead of science during 8th grade? Advice needed please :)

I'm looking at Nance's Intro to Logic. I notice the Logos Classical School in Idaho substitutes/skips physical science and does Logic instead.

Are the Nance dvd's a good value? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
