I will be using this for my 9th grader next year. Are there any online classes using Saxon Alg. 1?

Exactly what is on a Dive Algebra 1 CD?

Thx,
Whitney

I can answer your question as to the DIVE CDs. The CD has a gentleman teaching each Saxon lesson. He will often show a different way to work a problem or a shortcut. And he'll sometimes insert a little life instruction about doing the homework or such. My two oldest used DIVE CDs and liked them. The downside was that I wasn't keeping up with the teaching and when my oldest had a question, I'd ask him to give me some time to re-read the lesson This was only for Alg. II which some could do off the top of their head. But he was my first and I hadn't seen negative exponents for a while. :D My dd usually went to my ds because he answered her quickly and clearly. I'm working through Alg. II with the rest of my kids rather than outsource to DIVE.

HTH,
Lisa

ETA: I should have added that the problem with me not keeping up with the text could have been remedied if we had used a tutor.
