Are there any books/videos that anyone can recommend that teach students how to take notes?

I've heard that the Teaching Company's Dvd "How to Becomve a SuperStar Student" has a section on it.

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but for books my kids make outlines as described in The Well-Trained Mind. For lectures (they have only been exposed to recorded lectures and documentaries so far) I like Cornell's note taking system (http://lifehacker.com/202418/geek-to-live--take-study+worthy-lecture-notes).
