Luckily they were very fast with lots of morphine and I passed the stone fairly quickly. Now to just figure out how to prevent getting any more.

Yuck, my brother had his first pass while hiking in the North GA Mountains. His buddies had to carry him part of the way down, as he was in so much pain. I know more fluids, cut out caffeine and a lower protein diet helps.

OH, I'm so sorry. My hubby gets kidney stones and it's terrible. Of course, the last time we went to the ER for it he never got seen, we left after 4 hours (don't get me started!).

I am so sorry. I have experienced the pain. I wish that I could help you with prevention, but I don't really know. I have only had to deal with it once.
