I really liked it, I realize they took some creative liberties, but it was sweet, and the ending was satisfying even tho I knew it couldn't be the ending I would have made up. Hubby refused to see it, he doesn't like unhappy endings and for that matter doesn't like true stories...but I think even he would like the ending.

I voted...loved it.

I know they took liberties, and generally, it bugs me when they do that with *real* people...but it was *so* romantic, it had James McAvoy, lol...and the love story was heart-wrenching, and probably much more likely than a real Jane Austen novel, for that time period.

I'm going to try and talk dh into watching it, on DVD. (I saw it in the theatre.)
