What curriculum choices would you make?

My sweet little 8-years-late dd will be ready to start 1st grade materials in the fall. I know there's lots of new and different out there since I started with the olders. Specifically, if you have made it through middle school and could get a do-over on curriculum choices, what would you be seriously considering today?

I'm kind of getting a do-over with my bonus child. I am liking Writing With Ease for her. I still like the MUS/Singapore combo for elementary & transition to chalkdust at pre-algebra, love Phonics Pathways. I am on my 3rd time through with SOTW. I am going to do wordly wise for her and Dandelion logic all the way through. I am REALLY liking Real Science Odyssey from Pandia Press. Doable, easily supplemented, thorough and with some hands-on (enough to do but not so much I'll avoid it, LOL). She is loving Song School Latin and I will probably continue with LfC since the upper levels that I have are all classical...I learned a lot from Latina Christiana, but I think now that I will stick with classical pronunciation. I'm looking for a way to do more current world geography.
