I am considering using TRISMS - History Makers over three years with my two dds. So they would be 6th,7th,8th and 3rd,4th,5th.

Would this work? We would spend approximately three weeks on each lesson. I only want to do history once or twice a week, so it seems that there is enough information. I was thinking each child could work at her own level and the book selections seem to range in difficulty. Both girls are very good readers. I was also thinking this would give my younger dd enough science. (We do not do formal science before jr. high.) And my older dd could start a more standard science textbook along with the science in TRISMS.

I really want to keep them together for content classes. They thrive on the discussion and it makes our days much easier (and shorter.) And this would give them a nice three year overview of world history and enough time for me to add in some additional American History.

For those who have used the curriculum, does this seem like a reasonable plan? Is it easily adaptable to a younger student and is it easy to use simultaniously with students of different ages?
