Hi! I'm brand new to the board and have an etiquette question about buying something offered for sale. I've seen a few posts that offer something for sale with one person replying they'd like it. I don't want to step on anyone's toes by posting that I'd like it too, is it acceptable to post that if the first poster falls through, I'd like to be considered next for the sale? Or if someone wants only part of what's for sale, but I'm willing to buy the whole thing, is it OK to state that, or is it generally accepted that once someone posts they'd like the item, no one else posts after that?

Am I making sense? :001_smile:
Thanks for your input!
Kathy

It is ok to post even after someone posts that they are interested. Sells often fall through. So I would definitely post or pm the person about your interest. Good luck!

I'd go with a private message. If you click on the person's "name," then the options will come up and you can click on sending a personal/private message. I never post on a sell thread, I just pm :p

If you post that you are also interested or a private message - either is fine and not a breach of netiquette!
