If you are looking for a wonderful foreign film -- say, to round out your study of Iran -- then look no further. "Children of Heaven" is the story of a boy who inadvertently loses his sister's only pair of shoes and how this misfortune impacts their lives. The film is in Farsi, with English subtitles, but it's wonderfully acted (without at all feeling that way) and easy to watch. It's put out by Miramax Films (1998). Our family loves this sweet story, and we hope yours will, too! Try to find it!
