Has anyone used priceline.com to buy plane tickets?

Yes, several times.

We used Expedia.com also and once we got tickets the night before!

I used it once, and got a very cheap flight, but it left at the crack of dawn and had a *four-hour* layover. yikes!

I've used it twice. The first time, everything went well, but we had a longish (2-3 hour) wait between legs of the flight.

The 2nd time, we barely had time to change planes because, of course, the gate we had to go to was far, far away from the gate at which we landed. We were halfway to the gate in question when the airline started paging me.

Both times, the flights left very early in the morning -- say around 6 a.m.

I've discovered that sometimes I can get just as good a deal at the airline's website.

We used Priceline quite a bit years ago and got some amazing deals. That being said, in the past few years, however, every time we try Priceline, there don't seem to be any good deals to be had. :glare: The rates on sites like Travelocity or Expedia are similar to what we've found trying Priceline.
