I am planning on using MOH 1,2, and 3 over the next few years. I would like to switch to TOG at that point. MOH 3 ends about in the middle of TOG yr2.

Would it be feasible to TOG yr2, unit 3 & 4, and then move into TOG 3, unit 1 & 2, in the same year? Or would I make the planning for TOG even more difficult? TIA

In theory, I think it could work. The nice thing about Tapestry is that you can spilt apart the years.

I hope you get some input from some veterans, but it sounds like a pretty good plan.

I did it recently. I left MFW and jumped into year 2 midway. It has worked great so far!

We started this winter with Y1U4. I plan to see if I can get Y2U1 done this summer and then do an elections unit right before the baby is born. After our baby break, we'll begin again with Y2U2. I don't know how much more we will get done. Do what works for you and your family. TOG is a great tool that can be used in any way which you deem important.

Sure, many people have done it. Are you planning on purchasing all 4 units at once? The reason why I ask is because the first week of any year plan as the set up information written to the students and it's nice to have. Not necessary, but nice.

That would work just fine.

We started TOG after Christmas this year in unit 3 of Y2. We won't start Y3 until the fall.

On one TOG message board or e list, I can't remember which one, they talked about this alot. A lot of moms have done this successfully. You can print off the unit listing of scope and sequence off their website. So you will know exactly which unit you need to buy.
