I think I am the only person who didn't really like it. I couldn't get past Rene Zeilweiger's fake bad accent. I don't even remember why it was PG.

Maybe the drinking of alcohol? Other than that I don't know.

Well, there is the death of a significant character. You don't see it but it is emotionally upsetting.
I thought it was a great movie inspite of the bad accents. :p

I loved it... although I do not care for the actress who played Ms Potter.... I loved the movie!

I didn't like how she sort of "smirked" a lot: she smiled without showing her teeth.
Pretty good movie otherwise. Anything with Ewan MacGregor can't be too bad!:)

I really liked it and so did my 9 year old DD. It's a beautiful movie. I don't remember why it was PG, but I was completely comfortable letting my DD watch it and we are very picky about movies.

Thank you, everyone. I'll take a look and see if it will be okay for my children.

I thought it was a good movie, just not something that I'd probably sit and watch again. Not like North & South, or Pride & Prejudice. Those I could watch several times a year!

My kids saw it on an airplane ride, and still make fun of the accent and facial tics of the actress, but they really did enjoy it...

Well...I think those "tics" are just Zeilweiger's thing. She does that in all her movies. It is annoying!

I loved it. I let my little ones (9 and under) watch it up to the point where the significant character's death occured.

I just saw it and I agree! The bonus material is also worth watching! They talk about her schooling and her nature notebooking.

We just watched this today. I will have to look for the extras though, because I did not notice them. We do Five in a row too and we just did a Beatrix Potter week before rowing Peter Rabbit. :D I let all my children watch it from the 4yo- 11yo- I am usually pretty picky about what I allow them to see too.
