Lukion AP Latin or Latin 3 Opinions?

My son has finished wheelocks and we are contemplating AP but I was surprised that Lukion jumps right into translating Vergil for the AP exam in year 3. Has anyone done this? Was it difficult to do without another year of translation work?Thanks

I don't have an answer for you, but I have a question:D. Did your ds use Lukeion for Wheelock's? If so, what kind of experience did he have?
