I'm treating my butcher block and thought I had mineral oil, but it's mineral spirits - not the same. TIA!

Nope-anything else will become rancid and ruin the wood. I would not use anything but mineral oil

Either would get rancid or wouldn't be food-safe, one of the two. I agree, mineral oil only!
