Has anyone used any of the texts available from William and Mary? I found them by accident and was curious about their language arts books. I did request to preview them, but I haven't heard from them/received anything. Any thoughts?

I just ordered the Utopia set. I am pretty excited about it. A great book list, for sure. . . I can't wait to see it all and start getting my head around it! I will try to come back and post about them when I know more.

A caveat: they cannot/will not split up the "student packet bundles" so I had to spend the $56+ on the teachers guide PLUS $56+ for a set of TEN student booklets. (Plus abt 10% shipping) UGH. Once I know I am keeping it, I will likely post some of the student booklets for sale here to help others avoid that issue and recoup some of my cost. . . but I doubt they'll be hot sellers as I couldn't find anyone here that had used the W&M materials yet.

I didn't try, but I did confirm their return policy (right now, it is within one year, in resaleable condition. . . but the sales rep told me they are changing it with the new year. I told her I just wanted to be able to return in within a couple months if it isn't what I am expecting. She said no problem. That was good enough for me.)

It was a bit of a hassle getting it ordered, it took a couple calls back and forth to get ahold of the right sales rep -- it seems to be set up regionally -- but within a day or so I got to the right person and they were all very nice. I did advise them to offer the student booklets individually since they *are* marketing to hs'ers (they mention hsers in their website). . .

Excellent! The return policy will work fine for me as well. I did see that it was set up regionally, though I'm not sure where we would fall. Sometimes we're SouthEast, sometimes SouthWest. And yes, that is a great idea about offering the student booklets individually as well. I wouldn't even mind if the sets were just in smaller increments, like 2 or 3. 10 is a little excessive for most hsers!! :)

What is in the student booklet? How many pages? If you keep it and split it up to sell, PM me so I can get it. I really hope this is a good text. Right now I'm using this (http://www.amazon.com/World-Literature-Susan-Wittig-Albert/dp/0030556171/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261716843&sr=8-3), which I think is good, but I'm spreading it over 3 years, and want something to help fill in the gaps.

This is where I found them. There are lots of things within the webpage, but this was the stuff in which I was most interested.
