I just purchased a teacher manual (10th edition) and am wondering if I need the Red/Black solutions guide? I'm very comfortable with chemistry and would probably be fine if all the answers are in the teacher manual (solutions are not that important to me). Does the student workbook offer much additional practice or would a student get enough from just the textbook?

We will be using the laboratory book, The Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry along with this text. I would love any pointers/ideas/criticisms of the textbook you can offer.

TIA

Can't help much beyond saying that dd used this (8th edition) for chemistry in her co-op class and really liked it.

She has the red book which was required since students checked their own work but did not have access to a teacher's edition so ymmv as we can't compare.

She did not use the student workbook.

No answers. I just wanted to say: Wow! Is that book still around? I used that book for A-Levels many many years ago. I can't even remember what edition that was.
