Dd7 is completing Lively Latin this year. Since I don't know if LL2 will be out in time for next year I'm considering LFC A or Galore Park's Latin Prep 1. First, does anyone know if LFC-A would be the correct place to start? I know LFC moves at a faster pace than LL, so I'm unsure whether to begin with A or B.
Also, I noticed with LFC there is a DVD set. Is this a necessary component? As for the Latin Prep... it looks like I would need the teacher's guide & student workbook. Is that all?
TIA!!!

She's too young for Latin Prep. The difficulty ramps up fast and children end up juggling an awful lot of complication in their heads. Calvin's very bright, but I can really see the cogs turning when he's translating English to Latin. The youngest I recommend LP for is age nine; most kids will be more successful at age ten.
Best wishes

All you need for LFC is the primer. However, the DVDs, chant CDs, History Readers and Activities are all very excellent resources and make our Latin lessons really fun. The answer key is also a big help for mom's with no Latin experience, that's me.;)
Depending how much you are willing to spend on your Latin curriculum I would recommend getting as many of their resources as possible.
