My sock, continued, is up now. I love socks. They are so cool! And knitting is way cool. Aren't you proud of me for making that statement after saying how much I stink at it! WHEW! Thanks for sticking with me and encouraging me with it. I am a convert and an addict now.

My Wordless Wednesday picture is of my son's room. We are turning his room into a "cowboy" room. We finished the painting last night. I also finished (but haven't taken a picture) his curtains made out of red bandana fabric. We've framed some old western prints for the walls. I'm actually feeling ready to be done with it. LOL. My arms are tired.

Not knitting though. I wish I was that creative.

No pictures but we are enjoying the spring weather with gardening. We did 30 min. yesterday - 30 minutes for 4 people - that's 2 hours of work! (Well, it would be if the kids really worked non-stop for the thirty minutes!)

Here's one of my several works in progress. Also a lot of the kids there too, are WIP.

If anyone wants to be a virtual horse owner let me know, horse lesson plans are all drawn up for the spring/summer/fall, and I'm ready to begin as soon as weather permits.

Lilly the Filly considers herself Jess in OK's horse!

Wow, I was just sitting here wishing I were creative enough to decorate! (And, uh, I think my ds wishes the same thing!) Right now, every room in our house, except for the kitchen, is white.

I posted on Ravelry so I just copied it here too.

I don’t have any pics, but I’ve got a few things.
The shawl I mentioned last week, I think I need to stop calling it a wip and call it a wNip.
I started socks for oldest ds, then frogged it because the pattern I was using wasn’t very explanatory, so I found another pattern and have only cast-on so far.
I had the brilliant idea to knit step runners(to avoid the slivers galore the kids pick up on the steps). I wanted something sturdy. What did I have around the house to use? Oh yes, Hemp Rope(I got it for the kids to make bracelets but hadn’t gotten to it yet). I’m loving cables right now so I decided to make a smaller version of the Cabled Rug from The Knitted Rug (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/the-knitted-rug). I’m 3 repeats into it, loving it(I’m knitting with rope?!?!), but then realize that the cables at the edge of the steps will probably cause my oh so coordinated(not) children to trip and fall down the steps(they’ve done it enough on their own, do I really need to help them at it?). So, I’m still working at it, because I am loving cabling, but have no idea what to do with it when I am done. Maybe put it on top of the sideboard so that it stops being a dropoff?
Slippers for me, a bit more than halfway done the first slipper but it is down at the bottom of my list. I promised the kids socks.
DD and I are on/off working on making mitered squares that we plan to put together to make into a rug for her room. Her squares are smaller than mine, so they will be a middle accent I guess and mine will be the outer. We’re having fun with it.

. . . I would just block your website.

The pics of the kids on Jedi are just the sweetest!

Oh my!! We joke about my mom (in her presence, even) that if you took a marker and drew a black line across a perfectly smooth hallway, she would trip over it. :tongue_smilie:

Your projects all sound great--especially the mother-daughter mitered rug!

And I'm so impressed with your first quilt!

I want to take up quilting, but I seriously fear that my husband will kill me if I come home with another hobby. Either that, or he'll have me committed.

Hey, I'll bet I'd have more time to knit in a mental ward. Must consider it.
