Do I need a TM for R&S

I am looking at R&S Spelling 2 and Grammar 2 for next year. Do I need the TM's for these?

Do you know your grammar? The TM has all the answers to the text, workbook & tests. If you understand basic sentence diagramming you might not need it. I use the TM for my own piece of mind. Also it has daily review questions and the actual lesson. We started with level 3 so I'm not sure exactly what 2 covers. If I remember correctly, level 3 has them diagraming just the simple predicate & simple subject, so if you are comfortable with that- you could do it without the TM.

I agree. I think that you could do without the TM for R&S grammar and spelling 2. The spelling TM has very little lesson instruction, test sentences, and exercise answers. The grammar TM also has very little lesson instruction with the exercise answers, but no daily review questions. I'm only going to use these with my youngest (not next year, but the year after) because I will be grading 3 levels of grammar and spelling at that time. I like to do corrections the same day the work is assigned, so I need all of the help I can get.

We use R&S 2 for grammar and I use the TM sometimes. I usually sit with her and do the lesson so I can immediately correct her. However, I have to be honest and say that I have had to use it b/c I just wasn't sure of an answer.:blink: I use R&S for 3rd and 6th, and I definitely use the TM for the class practice and to help me out with answers quickly.
