My DD has a "sleep deprived eeg" this Monday morning. She will be awake past her unusual bedtime. She'll be awake until 11 pm...sleep 11 pm - 2 am and she and I will stay AWAKE until her appt at 8 am on Monday. :glare:

Then, in the spring she will have an "ambulatory eeg".

Both eeg's test for similar characteristics, but each one does test for what is specific to that kind of eeg as well.

Please pray for us to stay awake. Also, that on the drive down to her appt that I can safely talk to her to keep her awake while battling rush hour traffic.

She will be seizure free 2 years on Feb 5, 2010. Now, my dh and I do not believe she is "ready" to be weaned at this time....but we are hopeful that in a few years she will be.

She's has 1-2 sleep deprived a year and 2 ambulatory's a year. OK, experts...any advice? They've never recommended a "video" test. Should I ask about that? Any other suggestions? Appreciate it!

I have no advice but I just wanted to say I will hold a thought you arrive safely and wide awake and your daughter will not fall asleep! I hope it goes well. 2 years nearly seizure free is great. I totally understand about not being ready to get off the meds. My duaghter made it 23 months one time before she had another seizure ... We are now nearing 18 months this time. I am not sure when or if we will ever wean off meds.
