So I have been looking at Amazon.com and Rainbow resource and I am completely overwhelmed with all of the different "things" out there that one can buy to teach little ones Spanish. Does anyone out there have any reviews of great programs or workbooks to teach 4-5 year olds Spanish? Thanks in advance.

I don't speak Spanish, and we don't have regular contact with someone who does, but ds 5 wanted to learn Spanish when he was 4. I used La Clase Divertida. I thought it was "just right" for ds 4 and ds 7 at the time - lots of fun songs, hand motions, plenty of repetition, and a reasonable amount of conversational vocabulary. I didn't use the workbooks fro them, although I did fill it out for me :) - we just watched the DVD's and do a bit of informal review from time to time.
Over time I added a workbook that I picked up at Barnes and Noble called The Complete Book of Spanish for Grades 1-3, a Spanish Bingo game, and a couple of Usborne picture dictionaries.
Following each lesson there is a craft project (materials included for two students in the kit), a cooking lesson, or a lesson about Mexican history in level 1 and Spanish history in level 2.
It was a gentle introduction to Spanish, and just what I was looking for at the time.

So, I focus on resources that are audio based. I have "Spanish on the Move" which is a cd of songs and games. I also occasionally check out familiar children's books from our library that are translated into Spanish and have a tape. When I buy my next round of resources, I'm going to get a Berlitz pack from Rainbow Resources. It was suggested to me when I asked a similar question on here, but I haven't used it to give a review.

Yes. Look here (http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/spanishcurriculum.htm).
Lots of good choices.
Just keep in mind that anything you do in K is just introductory. (Unless, of course, you can secure a Spanish speaker to interact with her in Spanish.)
I think it's great that you're getting started in K. We did PowerGlide for Children in K. It was no good; but I'm still glad we started Spanish when we did.
