Ack. Sports season is heavy upon us and I'm having a hard time tracking my children's events on my month at a glance type sheet.

Does anyone have anything they've deleloped in spreadsheet format or a bought calendar you can recommend?
Thanks.

This year I bought a big, 2 page per month, hard bound calendar from Wal-Mart. It's pretty big. I had to buy a bigger purse to fit it in. Otherwise for at home stuff I use a giant dry erase calendar for the month and I also have a weekly dry-erase calendar.

I use the Google calendar. My dh and I share access to it, and it helps us to know what is going on in our family. I have separate colors for each activity that we are involved in.

HUGE, lined squares that fit everything I need to put in them. With typically 3 kids in sports (different sports/schedules), I need the large squares to keep me on track. FlyLady used to sell them, but I don't think she does anymore. Just google More Time Moms and you'll find it!

I really like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Moms-Family-Calendar-2008-Wall/dp/B000TK6STS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8?ie=UTF8&s=office-products&qid=1205872790&sr=8-8
It has the days of the month printed vertically, down the left side of the two page, hanging spread. Across the top, there are five columns (one column for each member of the family -- unless you have more than five in the family). There is ample space to record what everyone's doing, and cross-reference for possible schedule conflicts.

If you go to Amazon.com, and search for "moms calendar", about a dozen different ones will pop up.

I have one of these:

and it works great! Plus it has post its on the side. Those are helpful in writing reminders to myself that stand out.

I use ICal but I have a Mac. There is a great one with Outlook, Google and others. I color code each activity so church activities are one color, 4-H another, sports another, etc. I love it and just recently got a mobile phone I can sync my calendar with. That way, I always know what is on the calendar. Before, when I used the write-on kinds or refrigerator style, I never seemed to have them when I needed them.

I also like that I can print the week off and give to my dc's so they know the activities coming up for the week. Works great for me here.

One spring and summer we had a crazy schedule. I got a big desk calendar and put different types of things in different colors.

Church activities were red. Meetings for a project we were doing were in green. My son's activities were in blue. Social events were purple. You could divide colors based on person in the family or activity or whatever. I loved the huge spaces and that from across the room I could tell what type of activities were scheduled for that day.

Is the desk calendar (you know the type - huge, plain, large squares and black writing - would take up a whole desk top) that I bought for about $2.00. I hung it on the wall in the kitchen in lieu of a regular wall-calendar. We have three in sports, two in piano, two in Scouts, plus the regular projects going on w/ the house & DH's travel for work - so far, it's been fantastic!

I can see from across the kitchen if we have anything on there. The squares are big enough that I can write things in a semi-chronological order (so I can have room to add things that come up later and still be sure to put the earliest things at the top - that way I don't mistakenly think the first practice of the day starts at five, when, in fact, another child has to be somewhere at *four*!)

I've got a dayplanner in my diaper bag, and a small desk calendar/planner on my school desk, but that big desk calendar on the wall has been a total sanity saver for us.

I use this too. I write in pencil so that I can keep the days in chronological order. Those spaces are HUGE and I can see them from across the room.

My problem is that I don't carry a calendar with me. So, when I'm at the doctor's office, I make an appointment and then come home and need to reschedule half the time. I just can't see keeping two calendars!!

Flylady does still carry some awesome calendars with big ole squares and all those stickers for the various activities. I love mine! I have four kids and really need to be organized, and this calendar does it for me. Love it, love it, love it!
