I want to load some more romantic music on my Zune. What do you like that is fairly current and very romantic? I would like to keep it all music that is no more than 2 or 3 years old.

OK so James Blunt is not everyones cup of tea, but I like his music...there I said it. You can see the video and hear the song on You Tube it is beautiful. I also like some of the songs on the soundtrack for the movie Across the Universe. These are remixes of Beatles songs as song by the movie cast. They are wonderful My favorite is Something.

Of course that may be older than 2 years. I'm not very hip at keeping up with new music anymore.:tongue_smilie:

This is not two or three years old, but it is so beautiful I just had to post it. :) "I Wear Your Love" by Kathy Mattea.
The things I've collected bought or selected
The clutter that fills up my rooms
I can lock up and leave it never retrieve it
Leave nothing but my love for you
Let the storm winds blow I will not be cold
I wear your love thrown over my shoulders like a blanket of down
I wear your love like a bright suit of armor reflecting the sun
On the chilliest night though I travel light
It is always enough for I wear your love
You watched without knowing where I was going
Trusting the vision I'd found
For if dreams were a fire I had desire
That could burn this old house to the ground
So I walk quite free for surrounding me
I wear your love like a scarf that I borrowed that still holds your perfume
I wear your love pulled tight as I'm sleeping under a cold lover's moon
On the chilliest night though I travel light
It is always enough for I wear your love
Don't you know can't you see head to toe it is covering me
Like a stone the oceans's tide nothing can hurt me or turn me aside
For I wear your love thrown over my shoulders like a blanket of down
I wear your love like a badge of devotion of love and beyond
On the chilliest night though I travel light
It is always enough for I wear your love
It is always enough for I wear your love

Oh, Josh Turner anything would be good:drool: I love "Would You Go With Me". "Firecracker" is a fun song, but I don't think it's what you're looking for.

That is a great song! Another wonderfully romantic song by Mattea is Where Have You Been?
I also don't stay "up to date" on music, so some of these are older than three years, but some other romantic songs I like are:
John Mayer's Your Body is a Wonderland and Come Back to Bed
Harry Connick, Jr.'s renditions of Our Love is Here to Stay and It Had To Be You
Feist's Mushaboom
Iron & Wine's Naked As We Came & Love and Some Verses
Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah (not traditionally romantic, but dh and I think it's romantic)
Ladysmith Black Mambazo's Hello My Baby
Newsboys' Something Beautiful
Sixpence None the Richer's Kiss Me
Faith Hill's This Kiss
Serene & Pearl's My Heart is Full
Enjoy listening to your music. I love making music mixes.

*checks ipod for love song list*
Here are a few that I like, I have eclectic tastes (and strangely, a disproportionate number of love songs) so I've tried to mix it up a little and not give too many:
Best of My Love by The Eagles
All I'm Thinkin' About by Bruce Spingsteen
All I Want Is You by U2
Beside You by Van Morrison
Big Love by Lindsey Buckingham
He Came to Meet Me by Hem
I Feel Fine by The Beatles
I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher (I know, I know but it's cute!)
I Need You by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw
I Walk Line by Johnny Cash
Les yeux ouverts by Enzo Enzo (French version of Dream a Little Dream)
Otis Redding by Sara Evans
Somewhere Only We Know by Keane
Sweetest Thing by U2
Wonderful by Chantal Kreviazuk
The Guy That Says Goodbye to You by Griffin House
You've Got a Friend by James Taylor
The Way That I Am by Ingrid Michaelson

These are too old to fit your parameters, but they are obscure and beautiful. (I'm sorry that I'm not following the rules, but I don't keep up with new music, sadly.)
The Luckiest by Ben Folds
The Voyage by Christie Moore
THE VOYAGE:
I am a sailor & you're my first mate
We signed on together, we coupled our fate.
We hauled up our anchor determined not to fail
For the hearts treasure together set sail.
With no maps to guide us we steered our own course
Rode out the storms when the winds were gale force
Sat out the doldrums in patience and hope
Working together we learned how to cope.
Chorus:
Life is an ocean, and love is a boat
In troubled waters it keeps us afloat.
When we started the voyage there was just me and you
Now gathered round us we have our own crew.
Together we're in this relationship
We've built it with care to last the whole trip
Our true destination's not marked on any chart
We're navigating for the shores of the heart.
Chorus: Chorus:

"I Could Not Ask For More" by Edwin McCain always brings tears to my eyes, although it may be older than what you're after.

What kind of romantic music do you like?
Vocal vs. Instrumental?
Nora Jones like or Tony Bennett?

Yep! Brings me back. :)
Loved This Mortal Coil and Cocteau Twins. I found just about all of their music quite romantic. And lol, you have not heard "Frosty the Snowman" until you've heard Liz Fraser sing it. ;)

It probably doesn't qualify as a love song and definitely not as a recent song, but... ah- so pretty.
...I can't help it, check out Pandora (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAckMJd8zlA&feature=related) too.

Brick by Ben Folds Five
I LOVE the chorus to this song:
She's a brick and I'm drowning slowly
Off the coast and I'm headed nowhere
She's a brick and I'm drowning slowly
