the web site is www.govhs.org

I really, really want dd to take AP Language & Comp. The typical homeschool online classes, IMO, don't look very stimulating (based on the books they use). I think there's so much you can do with this class and it would be a waste to not get the most out of it.

I teach a co-op lit class and am toying with the idea of teaching AP Lang (which I think may indicate delusions of grandeur to assume I could pull that off).

Anyway, someone on the college board listserv recommend VHS's syllabus as a base. They use the same books I wanted to use, yet I've never heard of anyone taking their courses.

Does anyone know of anyone who's used them?

The local PHS is small so they allow upper class students to take VHS classes if they aren't offered at the school. The superint. gave me the VHS newsletter one year when I asked about possibly sending our ds to the high school and what classes were offered.

Thanks Michelle, do you know of anyone personally who has taken the classes or have you heard if they're any good?

and I'll ask around. My walking partner had 2 dc graduate from the school. I'll ask her and if I get a chance some other people at church.

My first reaction would be that it would have to be good since it's from Massachusetts and the educational stds are high in this state but then again you never know, it could be just OK.
