It looks like something ds would like, and the parental content advisory on imdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385726/parentalguide) looks like something I'd be okay with.
But imbd is not the same as a "WTMoms Approved" seal. :D
Do you remember anything worse that what imdb is reporting?

I really liked it and had my dc watch it, too. It had great messages and good topics for conversation for us. It was also just a lot of fun!:D

I looked at pluggedin online (http://www.pluggedinonline.com/movies/movies/a0002492.cfm) and found more things. They are what I remember - more racial slurs and such.
For what it's worth, I think the coach and his family ends up living in one of the dorms.
I did enjoy the movie, but it's not something my kids will see for a few more years at least.

I saw this for the first time on Sunday night.
I just read the unplugged review and it has a great description. I can't remember anything else of importance that isn't mentioned in their review.
My 13yo dss watched it with us, and we would have allowed my 10yo dd to watch if she had been interested.
You'll have lots to talk about if your dc do watch.
