Does this book cover both Algebra I and Algebra II? If so, is there a specific chapter where Algebra II starts???

Lial's Introductory Algebra is Algebra I. The first 4 chapters, I believe, of Lial's Intermediate Algebra review concepts from Algebra I, but they are only a review. I think the reasoning behind this is that usually geometry is sandwiched in between Algebra I and Algebra II, and these chapters help the student review those concepts.
However, I wouldn't recommend starting at Chapter 5. I believe Chapter 5 is Systems of Linear Equations in Two and Three Variables, with Matrices. My oldest really had difficulty with this chapter, and after checking with our local community college I found out that even the community college didn't cover that chapter. By saying that I'm not necessarily recommending that you skip that chapter; I just mean that I wouldn't start at that chapter.
