View Full Version : I've got to post this because it's been running around in my head for a few days.

I've come to the conclusion that "rep" is a lot like manure...
You've got to spread it around.
This has been my deep thought for the day. You may continue with whatever you were doing. :001_smile:

 I love your analogy.
How true!
My field is rather in need too, hasn't had any spread on it in a very long time.:iagree:

Except you can spread around too much rep, whereas manure never seems to reach its limit.:D

Spreading around to Virginia Dawn as well as everyone who has responded so far.
:hurray: (That's me, flinging rep into the air, just to see where it lands.)
(Editing because I ran out of rep after I repped Tara -- Colleen, you will have to wait until tomorrow. That's what I get for thoughtlessly flinging, I suppose!)

I ran out of Reps yesterday, and was only able to rep one person today. Does one need to wait a whole 24hrs before getting just one rep? I really liked a couple of posts today and was frustrated I could not give one rep.

I get annoyed because I'm always running out of rep. I never remember which posts I wanted to rep so much when I hae rep points available. I think the # should be increased.

I just tried to give you rep and it wouldn't let me.:glare:
I've got to wait 24 hours to spread the wealth around some more.

And imagine how a newbie feels. ;) No matter how many insightful posts I've made only one person has noticed me to give me rep? How long does it take before you get noticed around here? And the funny thing is tI'm doing my best to spread it around. I have run out of rep twice already in the few days I've been here. Still trying to remember who I wanted to give some to when I'm allowed to give more out. LOL

Was it me? I try to give rep to as many newbies that really post (as opposed to folks who sign up and just lurk). I like to give Welcome to the Forums rep!! I hope I got to you!

I keep a list :-)
a list of those wonderful rep comments [that scroll off after 5!] and their identifying author, a link to posts that i think are worth the rep but have to wait, and who I've repped lately.
i take my repping seriously, lol.
but really, it's just a matter of copy n paste, otherwise I'd never bother!
Rep On, gals!

Go to your User Control Panel, and just below your subscription threads you'll find your rep points.

It's not just newbies. I feel like I type my buns off, opening up quite a bit on threads, but most of the time I feel invisible. I always try to post links when people request stuff too.
