So often we come here with our stuggles, and it is a good place to do that, but our family had a wonderful day today and a fantastic meal tonight among the company of dear friends. (And my Irish soda bread came out wonderfully!) LOL
I just wanted to share that. Rejoicing! :)

Thanks for sharing the smile, Kate.:) After all that talk of Irish Soda Bread, I didn't make any. We did enjoy the last of the scones my older two guys baked on Sunday, along with the traditional corned beef and cabbage ~ accompanied by a nice, stout beer, of course.;)

I'm glad you had a lovely St. Patrick's Day with that fantastic family of yours.
We're getting ready for our Easter celebration this year, and our Wonderful Neighbor-Wife called the other day to admit that she was torn: she didn't want to miss our traditional Easter gathering, but are-we-sure-we-want-to-host-it-this-year? I had to laugh. We've looked forward to it since last year's gathering, and wouldn't want to miss it at all! :D So, it's still on, and we're all excited.

What a blessing!
BTW, I planned to make the recipe you shared here but didn't leave enough time to prepare and bake it before dinner ~ so we're going to do it today! :D

How wonderful that your guys made scones! The soda bread recipe I make I also use as a scone recipe and add craisins or raisins. It is *so* good and very moist and perfect with the Earl! (Grey that is..) :)

We always have a lovely Easter gathering too with our dearest friends. It begins with church and then we gather at one of our houses and have a huge meal with lamb and roasted garlic (and all the trimmings of a huge feast) and then we have a big filled-egg hunt - over 100 eggs - in the back yard for ten children and it is just delightful. I know your excitement! :)
