As some of you may know, dd (almost 6) is struggling with learning to read. I had a couple of questions for you all:

Are there any other sites like Starfall? She really enjoyed it, but she's been through the stories so many times that she doesn't want to do them again. I know the repetition would be good for her, but she is bored with them.

Also, what else is there for beginning readers besides the Bob Books? They are on my list of things to get next time I go to Borders (hopefully this week), but I was hoping for some other recommendations, as well.

Thanks everyone!

The readers from www.3rsplusread.com

They used to be known as the I See Sam Books---now they are Beginning Reading Instruction and Advanced Reading Instruction. They are wonderful. Each books builds on the last, but very gradually. My son is dyslexic, and we started these last summer, and his progress has been amazing.

Here are a few sites that I've found -

Read Write Think (http://www.readwritethink.org/student_mat/index.asp)
Sadlier Oxford (http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/phonics/student.cfm)

For phonics books - Nora Gaydos has a bunch of them (you can search amazon to see the different titles). Usborne also has some phonics readers.

I don't know her reading level but Elson Readers has a primer with lots of cute stories in it.

Sonlight also has a set called Fun Tales for really early reading and then I Can Read It as the next step.
