OK, I have conceded to doing higher math with my DD10. We are starting Lial's BCM after Christmas, looks like a lot of repetition but want to make sure she has it down pat. I just don't plan to have her do all the problems, to overwhelming. We also bought the Key to Algebra series to work through. What is the progression if we stick with Lial's after BCM? Is that the best route to go? I am looking at the 1984 Foerster's Algebra I and like the simple way in which it is written. I am thinking it won't take that long to get through Lial's BCM, even if we continue with EPGY along side it. (I ruled out Jacob's, my DD isn't into humor in math.)

BCM is a great Pre-Algebra program.
The progression in Lial's is:
BCM
Introductory Algebra (Algebra 1)
Geometry (I usually go with another program but Lial's is OK)
Intermediate Algebra (Algebra 2)
Pre-Calc
Calc
Your dd is young--but if she is ready she can go from BCM into Foerster's Algebra 1 or Lial's Introductory Algebra (and just about any other Algebra 1 program).
I'm sure you know to use caution with younger students... many are great with computation (elementary maths) but may not be mathematically mature enough for the more abstract concepts in Algebra... make sure she shows ALL of her work as the work is MORE important than the answer!
