My dd will be 4th grade next year and i am trying to place her in Writing Tales. She has done writing this year via copywork, notebooking, dictation, narrations. She does have "writing phobia diseas" though. :001_huh:
She is finishing GWG 3 and so i am wondering if WT 1 may be under her level? I dont want it to be too easy....but, I dont want to overwhelm her either.
Can you please explain the differences in the two levels for me. How much harder is WT2 from WT1?? How much more do they do in WT2 as opposed to WT1?
thanks!

I am teaching both of these right now for 4th and 5th grade. The grammar concepts in WT1 are easy and all review for my 4th grader but the review is really great for him. It seems to be really clicking for him now that he is seeing the grammar in the context of actual writing. The main difference between the 2 are the length of models used and the length of the lessons. WT2 is about 100 pages longer than WT1. You should be able to see the TOG for each on Lulu to see the grammar covered. If your dd is already struggling with writing then I would start with WT1. JMO

that explanation helps a lot. I actually decided to go ahead and order level 1 now, and just start it ASAP. That way we can get our feet wet with it now (we have 10 more weeks of school left) and just finish it up next year! Then we will hopefully be ready for level 2 by mid next year. I am excited about this...because i really cant wait to start using WT! So, i figured...why wait! LOL!
Also, that buys me more time...so Amy will be done WT3 by the time we need it (fingers crossed):D

We actually didn't start it until after Christmas this year so we will also finish up next year. It has worked out so well for both of my dss. I just really wish the program went further. I think you will have a lot of fun with it.
