View Full Version : What's going on with the online version of Brainskills?
I just went to their site and it said it would only be available to schools, not to individuals in the US. Apparently it is available to individuals in other countries.
Does anyone know what the deal is?
Thanks!

I think they always intended to market it to schools here rather than individuals. For one thing, there's a lot more money in marketing to schools. For another, I think they ran into problems having a program that was available to individual families. They found that a lot of families did not do the program as recommended, so results were all over the place. The other problem (and perhaps the bigger problem) was that their trained providers complained about losing potential clients to the home kits. Parents would come in, get the free testing from the provider, and then purchase BrainSkills instead of doing PACE or LearningRx.
I doubt the company will ever market the online BrainSkills to individual families. It probably isn't anywhere as effective as the old BrainSkills kit anyway. Not all of the exercises can be computerized, plus working one-on-one with a human provides a great deal more flexibility than interacting with a computer.
