My friend is doing Saxon 2 with her 2 boys and we went over with my bright monkey to do it with them. She absolutely loved it, is begging to do Saxon. Understood it, kept right up. Amazed the big boys:tongue_smilie:. However we can't afford especially before Christmas to purchase a Saxon manual! Any suggestions on what I can do with her in the meantime? I've been working you I Love Math timelife books with her, but something about Saxon inspired her.
So looking for any ideas!
Thanks
Janelle

Free and very high quality math materials. It isn't (as far as I know) anything like Saxon, but it is quite good. My 7 year old thinks it is fun.

Also keep an eye out for used material. I could have bought a Saxon 2 teachers manual for $0.50 at our used library sale.

Do you have a Craigslist for your town? I've seen lots of HSing books listed there!

I have heard Saxon and CLE math are similar, but I think CLE may be less expensive. You could even buy a few lightunits at a time.
