Apologia Science ??

How varied is the Physical Science from the General SCience? My 2 eldest are just about complete with Gen. Sci. One likes it, the other not really. Does the style or format change for Phys. Sci. enough that the non-reading-lover will enjoy this. He says he enjoys Noeo Chem 3 (that he just started), and the "notebook after reading" style.

Any suggestions? He's 14, in 8th grade; math excellent, language arts average.

My own DS is finishing General Science, and we still don't know whether he's staying with Apologia or we go with something else...
