I was reading a local online newspaper and one of the breaking news was that one of the bridges that dd's bus takes to get her to our island was hit by a barge 2 hours ago, was inspected by engineers and is now closed indifinately. Dd's bus takes the ocean route to get to her school which includes crossing over bridges from island to island to island like this 0-0-0-( 3 barrier islands from us to school) and now one of the bridges is closed. The only other way is to go a little inland on the parkway and drive a little bit north of us and come back around that way (which is the way I drive to get to her school as I hate the island hopping driving and the way I always suggest her bus drivers take, but it is a little bit longer so do they listen to me NO). Interesting to see how they will get her home.
Also the national weather service said that tomorrow morning at about the same time that dd's bus picks her up, will get the worst flooding since 1994!! We all know just how "accurate" weather forecasters are so here is hoping they have their usual accuracy and I will have nothing to worry about tomorrow.
