I am looking for opinions on this. It sounds really good, but I am wondering if it works?
Thanks,
Tami

Tami,
I've been trying to get some more detailed responses about this program also. Specificially, I am curious about the different books listed on Amazon for the same level. I'm hoping someone will answer for both of us.

Hi Tami and April,
My son used the program for Middle Schoolers last year as a supplemental workbook for his co-op class, and I dabbled around with the program for Elementary Schoolers with my 4th grader as a supplementary program last year as well.
I liked the books very much. They use "real" literature as models in the examples and in the exercises as well, which I think is an excellent thing to do. And I really liked the literature that he chose for the models: it wasn't over the students' heads by any means - it was very understandable and very well written.
In the exercises the students practice rearranging previously written sentences, and then imitating the same sentence pattern with their own sentences. That's one example of one of the types of exercises. In the book for middle schoolers they'll progress all the way up to paragraphs, if I remember correctly (sorry, it's stored in my basement right now!)
Overall in my opinion the books were excellent and would be a great addition to any language arts program. I don't think I'd use them as a stand-alone writing program, however.

Anyone else use this before?
Thanks,
