Has anyone ever used Chrystal's Algebra? Part 1 (http://books.google.com/books?id=ZhoPAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=chrystal+algebra#v=onepage&q=&f=false), Part 2 (http://books.google.com/books?id=d-MYAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=chrystal+algebra#v=onepage&q=&f=false)
The people at Kitchen Table Math (http://kitchentablemath.blogspot.com/) think highly of it here (http://kitchentablemath.blogspot.com/2009/10/recommended-algebra-2-materials.html) and here (http://kitchentablemath.blogspot.com/2009/10/parents-are-alike-world-over.html) (in the comments). They say that it goes way beyond modern Algebra 1 and 2, going into precalculus topics.
I'm thinking of using it for self-ed, since I just finished up ALEKS Algebra 2. I'm always a fan of free, and it would be good for me to get some deeper understanding. Any opinions?
