S/o chemistry thread below - has anyone used this text?

Chemistry - the Central Science? Robert Thompson recommends it as a go-along text for his Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry Experiments. He doesn't say why he chose this one (but he did review a few and liked this best).

If you've seen or used this text, I'd be very interested in your opinion :001_smile:

I'm using it right now and I've heard that the local school is also. I have a large selection of AP chem texts, let dd15 look through them all and this was the one she found easiest to understand.

Where did you find his recommendation? I must have missed it.
