Stomach virus questions

How long do these usually last? Dd8 threw up on Friday afternoon and then again tonight (Sunday). Her stomach is very painful even to touch at times, but no fever, dizziness, etc. At times she acts almost normal, and then it hits her again with the pain. Sometimes it even hurts to have the weight of the hot water bottle on it. She has only actually thrown up twice. Thankfully we have never had a stomach virus here-neither child has ever thrown up (dd threw up once when she was 2.) Whenever dh or I have ever had this (rarely), we throw up once and it's done. I'm assuming everything is fine, just checking! And is there anything I can do/give her to help her be more comfortable? Thanks!

I hope he doesn't have what my dd is recovering from. She was sick for a week, and is easily tired even today.

Sounds like what we had here. no fever and at times he would be fine, then hours later sick again. It started on a Wednesday and he was all better by Sunday morning. I hope she's feeling better soon. :grouphug:

Where is the pain? Are you sure it's stomach and not possibly appendix?

but dh said she would have a fever. I'm going to call the pediatrician in the a.m.
