These pages look like they might help direct and enhance our notebooking efforts as we make our way through American history. We haven't done much in the way of crafts or projects this year, and I am currently feeling the need to add a bit more writing into our weekly routine-- these just might do the trick. For the price, it looks like you can't go wrong, but at the same time, I don't want to waste my time if they're not worth it... have any of you enjoyed them?

They are blank pages, with a title and blurb at the top, there is an area to draw or paste a picture and a writing area below. I bought History Scribe because I wanted notebooking pages so I could create a history notebook to be filled. Dd7 just started writing on notebook filler paper so I don't feel we really need History Scribe anymore. Here's a page where I just photocopied images out of our books and she wrote about Mercury.

And here's a History Scribe page she did in first grade

It's really dependent on how your child likes to create. I've stopped using History Scribe pages for now because the art end of it eats up a lot of time. I'd rather her have a coloring page at this point so we can focus on the reading and writing parts.
Hope this helps
PS I did try to shrink the Mercury page, it keeps going back to 100%, sigh.

Thanks, Jessica--- what you mentioned (about the coloring part taking up so much time) is exactly what concerns me. I like the idea of the topics already decided for me, but I'm not sure my boys will be excited to color a picture every time-- they're interest in coloring is a hit-or-miss sort of thing, depending on the day, and when they do want to color, they like to take their time to make it just right...
Anyway, I sure appreciate your quick feedback-- I'll keep searching :o)
