Has anyone used Tell Me More for foreign language? Is it a high school appropriate course?

Yes, based on my experience, but it's complicated. When I bought the Italian, they had beginner, intermediate, advanced in a package. But it seems to assume some basic knowledge, and they've brought out an early beginner disc now.

It's a multi-activity program and covers a lot of ground. I decided I'd need to start simpler, with the book Italian the Easy Way and Rosetta Stone before plunging in to Auralog. The thing I like about Auralog is that it actually takes you beyond the usual 2 year level and offers way more hours of instruction than is usually available. Most people unfamiliar with language learning really underestimate the amount of hours it takes to acquire fluency. It's a lot more like learning a field, rather than one course.

It's not that easy to figure out at first--if only they had some text to go with it. If it's your student's first try at a language, I'd say look elsewhere. But if they've studied other languages, Auralog is an interesting take on method.
