Okay, so now you all have me thinking about cloth diapering again...:glare:

It's been almost 10 years since I cloth diapered, but I saved my covers and Rainbow contours. Well, actually, many of the Rainbow contours were ripped or unuseable...I salvaged 7. I had used these b/c they were reasonable and a good quality but found that after a while the terry cloth liners inside would bunch up. I used Nikki diaper covers which I LOVED but they were rather difficult to clean (could only use a delicate detergent w/ no stain removers, bleaches, etc. or the covers waterproof barrier would break down). They were reasonably priced though. So, those of you who have diapered rather recently using cloth...please tell me which ones who like/dislike. I like the contour diapers rather than prefolds. TIA! Oh, and thanks for putting the "bug" in my ear about cloth diapering again. :glare: :D

Workhorse diapers and covers? Motherease One-Size diapers and Airflow covers

The easiest, most convenient, like-disposables diapers I've ever used? bumGenius 2.0 all-in-ones (I still have a bunch, I'm having a hard time parting with them, LOL!)

For the best deals on either, check out diaperswappers.com. With the exception of the bG 2.0s, I've bought all my diapers used and saved a ton.

They made it sound actually doable didn't they, those WTM gals!

It actually doesn't sound as horrific as I'd imagined - the thought of using cloth.

Looking forward to seeing responses, those G-diapers someone (sorry, forget who) posted about on the other thread today. They look easy and the covers are pretty cute.

I remember those old fashioned white ones with the pins and the boring white plastic pants. I guess no one uses those anymore. I was scared to death I'd stick them. I wonder if those are what gals are referring to when they say "chinese prefolds". You learn something new every day here on these boards. Off to search again.
:grouphug: It's like hanging out by the fence in the old days. Thanks ladies for your wisdom and sharing your experiences. It helps!

I loved Biobottoms, Motherease, and Nikki's... not sure they are still around. I loved the Natural Baby Co. I do believe they were bought out back in the late 90's. Oh, the smell of a newborn. :001_wub:

My absolute favorites are Fuzzi Bunz! We have used prefolds, pins and rubber pants, Bummis, Kushies, Mother Ease, WAH diapers and a few others. Fuzzi Bunz are the best.

We used them 24/7 and never once had a blow out.
