Another question about rep points

Is there a separate reputation list for the sale and swap board? Frankly I'm not especially interested in anyone's reputation except when I'm buying or selling. From the messages I've been reading, most of the rep points are "earned" from the discussion boards. I'm confused.

I was wondering about this, too. When I left positive rep for someone when I purchased from them, I just did so as I have left positive rep for a helpful post on the general or curriculum boards. How do I know that someone has great advice but is poor at shipping out items in a timely manner since the comments on the reps they receive are private and anonymous? I have no way of knowing why someone received a positive or a negative rep; I can only see their overall "score." That is not very helpful when trying to use rep points to distinguish good sellers or buyers from bad.

Is there a way to distinguish Sale/ Swap rep from other rep?
