Bob Books

Does anyone know the difference between the old Bob Books and the new ones? The first set of the old ones is Bob Books First! and the newer set is called Bob Books, Set 1: Beginning Readers. Thanks!

It looks to me (and I couldn't say for sure, unless I had a copy of the old set in my hands), that they were just re-released with a different name, (and revised packaging). The Bob Books website has an edition chart (http://www.bobbooks.com/editions.html) that you can look at. I would guess that there isn't much difference in actual content, and that you could easily use the old set 1, and then the new set 2 with no issues.

I think they've been renamed a couple of times now, without much (if any) difference in content. On one package (not sure old or new) the titles are listed on the side of the box, so that may help you compare. I have a mixed set, boxes of both plus a couple of old strays, and they're no different.

I used the "older" ones from the Library a few years ago, and I just bought a "newer" set.

It seems to me that the only difference is that the new ones have some 2 tone colors to the pictures inside.
