People to People Ambassador Program

Did anyone else get an "invitation" to this in the mail? Or know what this is about? I'm not sure how we got on thier list since none of my children have been tested or to school of any kind. Or had their yearly physical for that matter. People to People did come to my high school, but it was theater stuff. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it worthwhile?

I've heard it's a scam (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2008/01/p2p_hill.html). There have been recruitment letters sent to parents of kids who died as infants, even to the owners of a cat. :confused:

It's not a scam. They buy mailing lists - somewhere along the line they got your child's information. They are totally legit - although they make mistakes in their mailing lists.

I have a friend who sends her kids every year. Personally the trips are expensive and I don't think they are all that great.

We get these letters, but I would prefer to dc myself. I honestly wouldn't trust someone I didn't know to take my dc on a trip like that.
