I'm 35 weeks pregnant.. The past 2 days I have been up to the hospital hooked up for Non Stress Test and Blood Pressure Checks.
I have high blood pressure and protein in my urine(I know TMI :))
I am on bed rest with only bathroom privileges, so I shouldn't even be in front of my computer right now, but I needed a few minute break from laying down.
I go back to the hospital on Monday to be hooked up and checked again.
I have my regular appointment on Wednesday when I will 36 weeks.
I'm not sure what the Doctor will do.
I have already broke down crying once, good thing dh is being sweet about it all.
Thanks and I will keep you posted

Praying for you and the baby, Kristy...
At least your kids are old enough to help out a bit!

Oh, honey. You can cry if you want. I've been there too, 4 times.
You should ask if your hubby can move the computer near your bedside. Are you allowed to sit up, or do you have "laying on your side" privileges only? DVDs help, maybe a favorite TV show on DVD, since you can get caught up in watching episode after episode? Order in favorite "allowable" foods. If you can stand thinking baby thoughts, you might try making something for your little one. Crossword puzzles and word searches were too frustrating for me to concentrate on... didn't capture my attention enough and left me bored.
Do NOT let anyone tell you that you should "appreciate the rest while you can get it." Sorry, folks, this does NOT qualify.
:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
I just kept telling myself the baby would make it all worth the while. I didn't like it when other people would tell me the same thing.
Hang in there. Praying for you now.

Oh, that stinks. Lots of hugs and well wishes and prayer. I've had pre-2 out of 4 pregnancies.
It's good that you are pretty far along with these symptoms, as opposed to being say 30 weeks.
I know that you are absolutely miserable. Wish you had a laptop to use in bed.

Hang in there, I was on hospital bedrest for 3.5 months with the triplets. It'll pass although it seems like forever.

Krista,
Sending up lots of prayers and month-long pregnancy thoughts!
35 weeks is not your goal, but you'll still be delivering a healthy baby. Lungs should be fully developed between 34-35wks.
I spent many a long evening in triage or antepartum pregnant with our triplets. Lying down seemed like placating a beached whale. No more rest, please! I feel for you :grouphug:
Talk with your doctor and find out what the game plan is for delivery. Will he try to get you to 40wks or is he ready to deliver sooner? Is there a particular date or test he wants prior to delivery?
No matter what, mentally rest (as the physical rest is highly overrated!).
God Bless

It's so hard, it's so scary.
You are very close to the end, you can do this, you can get through this. Do whatever the doctor tells you. I remember trying to argue with my doctor about bedrest and he just said "You are not paying me to worry about those children (as he pointed toward the waiting room) you are paying me to worry about this child (said as he patted my belly)."
I really believe you will be fine, but this is such a hard thing to go through. You just keep protecting your baby and yourself and we'll be praying you through.:grouphug:

Hang in there. Baby is almost "cooked." You're in the home stretch. Please take very good care of yourself. I know how very hard this is.

Are you familiar with Sidelines? It is a phone and online pregnancy support group. They helped me so much when I was on bedrest (both times). See if you can get a match with someone. Hang in there! My dd was born at 35 weeks - you are in the homestretch!!!!

Praying! Hang in there--I was on bed rest for 2.5 months with #1, 8 months with #2 and 4-5 months with # 3, 4 & 5. It's hard, but you're the only one that can grow that baby. Call in the army of helpers from church!

Since Thursday, I was at the hospital 3/4 days being monitored.
I was so frustrated with the doctor for not doing anything.
Yesterday I went to be monitored b/c I wasn't feeling baby move as much and just felt awful. Yesterday was the same old, same old~high blood pressure, protein in urine and some blood in urine(this was new but they didn't say much about it)
The doctor on call told us to call my regular doctor today to be seen, so I am going in at 3:40 this afternoon.
On Wednesday I will be 36 weeks.
I am so hoping she will just induce me one of these days, I am miserable.
Just wanted to let you all know I am surviving bed rest(barely) and wanted to update you :001_smile:

I went to the dr last Monday and got admitted to the hospital. I just got home today.
I got induced on Friday March 21 and after a very long day and some complications had my baby boy. He was 36 weeks, 2 days old. He was 6 pounds and 18 inches long. The dr wanted him to go to the ICU for the night to be monitored b/c I was having complications during the delivery. He did great in the ICU so he got to come down to the regular nursery on Saturday.
He did have to stay at hospital today b/c he is jaundice, we will be going back up there to do feedings and so on.
I just wanted to update everyone and Thank You all for praying for us.
I will try to get some pictures of him up on my blog in the next few days :001_smile:
Thanks again everyone ;)
