Usually by the time a reply to a thread or post one myself I've forgotten about it. Is there anyway to know that there has been a reply to something that I'm replied to?

Choose Thread Tools, Subscribe to this Thread. (This is on right side the blue bar beneath Post Reply.) Later, go to User Control Panel, and on the lower left side of the screen, click on List Subscriptions.

You can subscribe to it. Click on the thread you want to track, and at the top (toward the right) it will say "Thread Tools". Hit the arrow button, and then click on "subscribe to thread".
When you sign on to the boards next time, click on User Control Panel and it will have your subscribed threads. I have to do this, too, because I don't visit the boards as much as some, and also I'm on a very different time zone. By the time I do get on, any threads I am interested in are buried far, far down.
