Foerster's Algebra I, 1994 3rd edition (ISBN 0201860945)?
I can just buy the new edition and solutions manual, but I bought the older edition for $6 and was hoping to get lucky with the solutions manual.
Any advice?

Did you see that Follett is expecting to get some in stock soon, used, for $28.15? Not cheap, but perhaps better than purchasing a new textbook and solution manual.

I have purchased from them several times and been pleased.

Wow, just wow.
You're the cat's pajamas, Janet.

You might want to double check somehow that this is truly the solutions manual. When I search at www.addall.com with the ISBN, it looks like the student book to me. I finally broke down and ordered the solutions manual new. It works fine with my 1999 student book.

Sue, My e-mail confirmation lists "solution manual". I'll post here and let you folks know whether it's the text or the SM once I receive it.
