homeschool convention recommendations?

We live in southern part of Illinois. Does anyone have a favorite homeschool convention that would be close to attend? I have been told the one in Chicago is HUGE...I am afraid it might be a little overwhelming and also with the price of gas(AUGHHH!), it wouldn't be a good choice. I have been told there is one in Indiana and one in St. Louis. We live in between so does anyone have a preference? thanks

APACHE has one in Peoria April 12 & 13. There is a Catholic Homeschooling conference in Joliet May 23 & 24.
