View Full Version : Ok, before I hit submit, tell me the RS games kit is REALLY worth it

I know we discussed this, but $50 is a lot of $. Are these games worth it? Do you all play them together as a family? Are they fun? Do they work?

LOL I get nervous spending $, talk me into it :D My cart is ready and waiting for checkout.

It's worth it if you play them! I went to a RightStart workshop where I fell in love with the games. Then I didn't make the time to play them and felt like I wasted my money. However, I've recently recommitted myself to the games and we've begun playing them.

I was specifically trying to remedy a math problem with my dd, but I couldn't keep my ds away! Sometimes I play with them; sometimes they play by themselves. I'd love for us to play them at night as a family but dad is often away until late. My children think that the games are great fun, but I did have to put some initial effort into learning some games myself and then teaching them to play. That's what took me so long. They begged to play; I just didn't know how to play them and didn't make the time.

Of course you have older children who could help the youngers learn to play. Looking through the games book, I was amazed to see how many advanced math topics are covered in the games book. All ages could play.

I will repeat what was said earlier. Only buy them if you know you are going to play them. If you know you'll play them, by all means. But if you aren't in the habit of playing games, then don't because you'll probably not get enough out of it.

OK, thanks. I do think the kids would like playing them so we will try it. Thanks for the link too, it will save me some money!
